Growing up, I was fascinated with the night sky. One year I got a telescope as a gift. I set it up on the front lawn and yelled my head off when I found the moon. Another night, by sheer dumb luck, I found Saturn — rings and all. I must have made quite a racket because the whole neighborhood came running over for a look.
That wonderment never left me. The same excitement I felt as a kid ripples through me every time I look up. And inevitably, like everyone else, I started wondering — is anybody out there?
That question became Space Cat.
What if what we’re looking for is also looking for us? What if they came here not to conquer, but because they needed our help? And what if a kid was the one brave enough to answer?
